It allows you to scan photos and documents directly to your iOS or Android™ mobile devices via a Wi-Fi wireless network, and supports direct printing of PDF files, photos and web pages*2 from mobile devices without the need of a computer, bringing even greater convenience for everyday printing tasks!

PIXMA MX477 features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity that supports 802.11b/g/n standard for faster connection. Seamless printing and scanning function sharing among multiple computers over a high-speed wireless network can be easily achieved, ideal for sharing among the whole family.
The operational panel is located on the top cover of MX477, so the control buttons and screen will not be blocked by thick books or papers (e.g. newspapers and large-size books) when scanning is in process.
Most Home office users come from the design industry and they face a common scanning problem - thick design books always block the top cover of scanner from covering completely, which complicates the scanning process. The top cover of MX477 is specially designed that it can be lifted, which allows complete covering even when scanning thick books. It can prevent black shadow on the margin of the scanned documents as well as ink wastage due to light spillage, where the quality and efficiency are greatly improved.
PIXMA MX477 is equipped with the unique FINE (Full Photo-Lithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology print head. It's 2-picolitre ink droplet technology and enable print heads to deposit a perfect printing quality of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, which promise to deliver high-quality prints with grain-free images in the most perfect shades photos.
PIXMA MX477 incorporates a 4-color ink system include a separate pigment-based black ink to improves text printing performance. Ink smearing problem can be substantially reduced and highlighter stability with high water resistance on plain paper enhanced.
PIXMA MX477 is equipped with automatic document feeder, up to 30 sheets A4 or letter-size documents can be placed in it for automatic copying, scanning and faxing, users can avoid the complicated manual process and enjoy a higher working efficiency.
PIXMA MX477 have included the Caller Rejection and Fax Reception Reject function, where users can refuse to receive any fax from hided caller ID or those numbers which have not been informed or these numbers have been saved in the rejected list. This saves paper and cost by rejecting unnecessary fax automatically.
PIXMA MX477 is bundled with "My Image Garden" for easy management or backup of photos. Users can organize the photos stored on computers into three categories: Calendar, Event and People. With face recognition function, simply by registering the faces of your family members, the software can sort photos of a specific person automatically for easy searching, reviewing and printing of memorable photos. "My Image Garden" offers a vast selection of templates including collages, greeting cards, calendars, paper crafts and more to help you create unique and fun photo styles. What’s more, the software also includes an automatic printing idea suggestion feature where photos stored on a computer are automatically created into various appealing collages for easy printing. PIXMA MX477 is equipped with an upgraded full HD Movie Print function. With the use of bundled software, users can capture high quality prints from HD movie clips taken by Canon digital compact cameras or DSLR cameras*, and the printout mages will be optimized automatically. Three new features are included: "Merges frames" function helps combine multiple clips and produce a composite of movements; "Movie clips index" with thumbnail scenes allows easy preview and image search; "Auto Frame Capturing" selects sharper and clearer frames automatically, ensuring the best possible image quality.
