Our supreme expert reaches speeds of 16x in playing your DVDs. If you want to play CDs, it can reach speeds of 48x. And it is equally impressive in burning optical storage media as well: It writes DVD+R and DVD-R formats at speeds up to 16x, DVD+RW at speeds up to 8x and DVD-RW at speeds up to 6x. Equally impressive are its numbers for disks in the DVD+R DL (8x) and DVD-R DL (4x) formats.
